01 / The throughline

A career with
connecting tissue.

From interpreting traces of the past to building the systems people use today.

2002–2009The foundationsLearning to read human worlds.Classical studies · Philosophy · ARCHEM

I studied philosophy and psychology at the University of Michigan–Flint, then earned a B.A. in Classical Studies at Wayne State University in 2009. Ancient languages, archaeology, and Platonic philosophy shaped the questions I learned to ask.

From 2007 to 2009, I worked as public liaison and grant writer for the ARCHEM Archaeochemistry Project. My academic path also included graduate study and several years working with ARCHEM at the INSTAP Study Center for East Crete.

What carried forwardCareful observation. Context before conclusions. The ability to connect evidence with a human story.

Dates shown cover undergraduate studies and the ARCHEM role listed in my resume. Graduate study and work in East Crete are part of my personal account.

2011–2017The human sideUnderstanding what people need.Sales · Recruiting · Training

Sales consulting at Dick Scott Motor Mall, followed along the way by recruiting, training, and team leadership at QuinStreet in Portland, Oregon (2014–2015).

Listening, explaining, and finding the real problem became practical skills. They still shape how I lead discovery, demonstrate software, and help people adopt a new workflow.

What carried forwardTranslate complexity. Earn trust. Make the next step understandable.

2017–2021On the groundWorking where the constraints are real.Forestry · Drones · HVAC operations · Logistics

At Monument Engineering Group (2017–2019), my work crossed forestry, drone operations, and technical recruiting. At Sharon’s Heating & Cooling (2019–2020), I worked in project coordination and operations support. AFA Secured Transport followed in 2020–2021.

Materials, routes, people, equipment, and time: the operational details that later became the subjects of my software.

What carried forwardDesign around the job as it happens, including the parts that never make it into the process diagram.

2021–2024The bridge to softwareA repetitive task became a beginning.Viridis Laboratories · Field technician → IT support

I joined Viridis Laboratories as a field technician in September 2021, collecting samples and maintaining chain-of-custody records. In 2022, I began using GPT to write Python automation for compliance workflows.

In March 2023, I moved into IT support: enterprise systems, user onboarding and offboarding, software deployment, and Metrc support. I stayed until January 2024.

What carried forwardNotice friction firsthand, build a small solution, and let the result lead to the next question.

2024–presentBuilding across the stackFrom a workflow to an ecosystem.KW Corporation · AI solutions architecture

Since January 2024, I’ve designed and developed enterprise applications at KW Corporation, working with one collaborator and an AI-augmented workflow.

The work spans ServiceNow and Quickbase, accounting integrations, warehouse management, customer portals, document workflows, and AI-assisted extraction. My responsibilities extend from discovery and architecture to implementation, certification, demonstrations, and ongoing support.

What carried forwardA generalist’s range, applied to software that has to hold up in daily use.

Enterprise systems at work. Playable questions after hours. Both begin with something worth understanding.

Flagship / ServiceNow integration

KWikSync

Connecting operational data with the systems customers already depend on.

Developed and shipped a ServiceNow Store-certified application connecting Quickbase and ServiceNow asset workflows, including deployment at Huntington National Bank.

Inside the work

Application architecture, REST integrations, IRE compliance, ACL hardening, Store certification, and a multi-instance development workflow. Delivery also included technical demonstrations, documentation, video walkthroughs, and stakeholder communication.

Integration

Q2Q middleware

Dockerized middleware connecting QuickBooks, TSheets, and Quickbase so time, accounting, and operational records can move between systems.

Python · REST APIs · Docker · DigitalOcean

Operations

Service & warehouse systems

Ticketing, dispatch, time entry, and CRM alongside hierarchical inventory, serialized tracking, vehicle stock, and technician-facing interfaces.

Quickbase · JavaScript · Workflow design

AI in a workflow

R.E.P.O.

A receipt and invoice pipeline using Claude Vision for extraction, with validation and human review before data flows into expense and accounting workflows.

Vision API · Structured extraction · QuickBooks

Development practice

AI as a collaborator

Multi-agent prompts, persistent context, and review patterns for long-running development. Human direction and runtime evidence remain central.

03 / Beyond the job title

Still a field observer.

In an ancient landscape, a patch of woodland, or an unfamiliar codebase, I start the same way: pay attention.

I forage for wild edible plants and mushrooms. I study trees. I’m interested in philosophy, anthropology, and what happens when people learn alongside AI.

That range is part of my working method. I look for relationships across disciplines, then turn them into something another person can use.

Tools I work with

  • Python
  • JavaScript
  • HTML & CSS
  • SQL
  • ServiceNow
  • Quickbase
  • REST / OAuth
  • Docker
  • Git
  • LLM APIs
